❤ Rayas - Stripes #AmigurumiMay2020

(English below)

I love stripes.
But my relationship with them was never easy, I spent a lot of time trying to learn a technique to hide the "step" between one color change and another but in the end I decided I have to live with that step at the amigurumi back.
I tried to use the closing rounds technique. The famouse step tooks better but the amigurumi has a "scar" at the end of the rounds and I think this is uglier than the color change step.
If you want a tutorial to hide the color, I like this one from Blue Babalú (spanish tutorial). You have to make a slip stitch at the begining of the new round using back loop only and them a single crochet in the same stitch usuing both loops. When the round is finished you have to skip the slip stitch, the slip stitch doesn't count. This technique hides the step, it's not perfect but it is better than a normal color change.
